Cross - Country Ski Trails

 In winter there are many well kept and maintained cross- country trails in the vicinity of Rateče, suitable for beginners, intermediates and the most experienced skiers. They lead from the Kompas restaurant near the Italian border to the Planica valley (for recreative skiers) and further on to The Tamar Hut ( for more demanding and experienced). In good snow conditions the summer bike trail from Rateče to Kranjska Gora changes to the ski trail, too. Unspoilt nature, the configuration of the trails and the idyllic winter atmosphere offer good recreation and relaxation . The skiers fully enjoy thier time on white slopes.The village of Rateče is renown for plenty of sunny days in winter which can be hardly expected elsewhere. |
